Acceptance
By downloading and using Zerolog you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, you must not use the app. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Zerolog.
What the service is
Zerolog provides ephemeral messaging, voice calls, and local multiplayer games between nearby devices (Bluetooth and local network) and over the internet with end-to-end encryption. The service is provided "as is" and "as available"; uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
Account and phone verification
A valid phone number and SMS verification (OTP) are required to sign up. This step is a defense against malicious users and fake accounts. After verification the number is not stored long-term and is not shared with other users. You are responsible for the security of your account and device; never share your verification code.
Acceptable use
You may not use Zerolog to: produce or distribute illegal content; harass, threaten, engage in hate speech or bullying; commit fraud, phishing, or spam; infringe others' intellectual property or privacy rights; share any content exploiting minors; spread malware; or attempt to bypass the app's security measures. You are fully responsible for everything you share with third parties and for your conduct.
Community safety — blocking and reporting
You can block users who bother you and report abuse with categories. We reserve the right to take measures against accounts that violate these terms, including warnings, feature restrictions, and account suspension/termination. Because of the end-to-end encrypted and peer-to-peer architecture, we cannot proactively monitor content; moderation largely relies on user reports.
User content and intellectual property
Content you send belongs to you; we do not store or claim ownership of it. The app itself, its brand, logo, and software belong to Zerolog and are protected by copyright/trademark. You use the app under a non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use.
Age limit
Zerolog is not designed for users under 13 and, per store ratings, may contain user-to-user communication without content moderation. Phone verification means registration usually happens on a line under adult/guardian control. See our Children's Privacy page for details.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties, express or implied (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, etc.). We are not responsible for interruptions arising from wireless range, device compatibility, or third-party infrastructure.
Limitation of liability
Zerolog is a peer-to-peer tool; the peer device is not under your control and screenshots/recording cannot be fully prevented technically. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Zerolog is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. The responsibility to choose whom you talk to lies with you.
Indemnity
You agree to hold Zerolog harmless against third-party claims arising from your violation of these terms or applicable laws, or from your content.
Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app and deleting your account from inside the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access in case of a breach of these terms.
Changes to the service
We may add, remove, or modify features and update these terms. For significant changes we update the date and notify you where appropriate. We promise not to quietly make changes that roll back privacy.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and Turkish courts have jurisdiction over disputes. If you reside in the EU or UK, your mandatory local consumer rights are preserved.
