On the Internet: End-to-End Encrypted Messaging
On Wi-Fi or mobile data, Zerolog opens an end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) channel in parallel. Keys are generated on your device, never leave for a server. Message content can be decrypted only on the two devices — no one, including us, can read it.

Overview
For users who have internet, Zerolog carries the same privacy standard from nearby devices to remote peers. An end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) channel is established: encryption keys are generated and stored only on the two devices, and are never sent to a server.
This means even the carrying infrastructure (including us) cannot decrypt the message content if it intercepted the traffic. The server only helps peers find each other and relays encrypted packets; it never sees or stores content.
Most importantly: ephemeral rules apply to remote chats too. When the lifetime you chose runs out, the message is wiped from both devices — talking over the internet doesn't change that.

Zerolog offers encrypted peer-to-peer voice calls. Audio flows directly between the two devices and rings with a native call UI on the lock screen. Call history is not kept.
Pairing with Mutual Approval
Every new pair requires the recipient's approval. The request shows up on their screen — accept or decline. Silent messaging is impossible.
