Overview

Zerolog identity asks for the minimum. You pick a unique username (@username): lowercase letters, digits, and underscores, passed through a profanity filter, changeable at most 5 times a month. This username is how people who search for you can find you.

You also have a display name; it doesn't have to be unique but follows a real-name format. On contact cards, your @username is shown beneath your display name so it's clear who is who.

Your phone number is used only at first sign-up for SMS verification (OTP) — a defense against fake accounts and spam. After verification the number isn't stored long-term, isn't shown on your profile, and isn't shared with anyone. Your avatar is generated from a seed or picked from your gallery.
